Welcome to the Lazarus Research Group:
The Lazarus research group is an academic medical research laboratory with a focus on platelet immunology. Specifically: 

  • The mechanism of action of IVIg in the amelioration of autoimmune disease (primarily ITP).

  • The mechanism of action of anti-D in the treatment of haemolytic disease of the newborn.

Our laboratory is affiliated with The Canadian Blood Services and is located at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada. 

Dr. Lazarus is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and has a full appointment in Graduate Studies within the Institute of Medical Science as well as within the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathobiology.
